Our Story
Founded in 2016, the Global Case Competition at Harvard (GCCH) has grown into one of the world’s most prestigious student‑organized case competitions. Each year, we unite top students from leading universities across the globe to solve complex, real‑world challenges in finance and strategy, culminating in a global final hosted in Boston, MA.
GCCH is organized by the IFSA Network, a worldwide student‑led organization dedicated to bridging academia and the financial industry. Together, we empower students to apply classroom knowledge to real‑world business cases, build cross‑continental connections, and develop the analytical and leadership skills that define tomorrow’s global professionals.
Our Purpose
We believe in creating opportunities for students to:
-
Challenge themselves intellectually through high‑level case solving.
-
Connect globally with peers, mentors, and industry leaders.
-
Develop career‑ready skills that go beyond the classroom.
-
Engage directly with leading firms and institutions through our judges, speakers, and case partners.
GCCH exists to make global learning, collaboration, and professional exposure accessible to all students, regardless of background or location.

Since its inception, GCCH has:
-
Hosted 10 successful editions (and counting).
-
Welcomed participants from 100+ universities worldwide.
-
Partnered with top organizations across finance, consulting, and academia.
-
Awarded over $100,000 in prizes and travel grants.
Our 11th Edition (2026) marks a new milestone — expanding in reach, refining our in‑person programming, and deepening our global community through the IFSA Network.
